Are you a teen or young adult feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, or stuck, whether around food, body image, relationships, or life in general? Do you struggle with self-confidence, decision-making, family dynamics, or feel weighed down by loss or constant stress? If so, we may be a good fit. These experiences are more common than you might think, but when they begin to impact your happiness or daily life, support can help. I would love to work with you as you navigate life’s challenges and build greater understanding, resilience, and balance.

Through therapy, you will gain greater insight into how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected and how they show up in your daily life. Together, we will explore patterns that may be contributing to distress or holding you back. I will always validate your feelings, while also challenging you when needed to promote growth.
When you step into a session with me, you can expect a non-judgmental space where you are safe to be yourself and openly process whatever you are going through. No topic is off limits and if expressing yourself includes a little cursing, that’s welcome too. Therapy works best when you can be authentic, trust your therapist, and allow yourself to be vulnerable. That’s why my number one goal is to build a strong therapeutic relationship where you feel safe showing up as your true self. And don’t be surprised if there are moments of laughter along the way, that’s part of the process too!
We have to nourish and live in our bodies every single day. Therefore, our relationship with food and our bodies should not be a primary source of distress for anybody. We will work together on exploring root causes for these concerns and learn how to create a healthier relationship with these every day aspects of our lives.
Grief and trauma can deeply impact the way we move through life, affecting our emotions, relationships, and sense of safety. Whether you are navigating significant loss, a difficult life transition, or the lasting effects of a traumatic experience, therapy can help you process what you’ve been through and find relief. Together, we’ll work to ease the weight you’re carrying so that grief feels less overwhelming and trauma responses or painful memories are no longer taking over.
Losing a beloved pet is truly heartbreaking and you don’t have to go through it alone. I created a support space for healing because I’ve been there myself and I know how deep that grief can run. This space is here to help you process, connect, and heal alongside others who understand.
Adolescence is a unique period of time that can bring many concerns up for parents. If your teen is struggling with any mental health concerns and you need support, you have come to the right place! We will work together to improve your teen's behaviors and moods as well as incorporate family sessions throughout treatment to give you the tools you need to support your loved one.
Hey there! I'm Thalia - a mental health therapist born and raised in Houston, Texas. I got my Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from Sam Houston State University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Houston. I have over 10 years of experience working with clients at all levels of care from the most intensive at psychiatric hospitals to the least intensive at outpatient centers. This has allowed me to fully understand people's needs at whatever stage they're in and truly meet them where they're at. I specialize in working with adolescents and their families as well as young adults struggling with a variety of disorders and concerns. Adolescence and young adulthood are very tough periods of time for everyone and it is my passion to help people navigate through these times.
I have always been very curious about people's life stories because when you know the story, you can better understand a person. I always feel incredibly grateful when clients choose me to be the person they share some of their most vulnerable moments—those “I’ve never shared this with anyone” sessions are why I do this work.
When I’m not in therapist mode, I’m usually hanging out with my rescue pets, trying to beat an escape room, getting way too into a board game, or just spending time with the people I love.
In this brief call, we will discuss what brings you to therapy, what you are looking for from therapy and in a therapist, determine mutual availability for sessions, discuss any logistics about insurance and/or billing, and decide if we are a good fit!
I use a platform named Headway to manage my billing and admin work so that I can place all of my focus on our work together. Headway manages everything related to payments and insurance to make things as easy as possible for you. Before our first session, I will send you a link to set up your Headway profile and within a few days we'll have information on your insurance coverage and copay information. This makes sure you know what you are expected to pay even before we get started.
We're ready for your intake session! Get ready because this session is packed, structured, and goes by fast. I will be asking you A LOT of questions about different areas of your life. I always recommend that you have nothing major to do after an intake (or something fun planned!) because going through that many areas of your life in a quick manner with someone you're just getting to know can be exhausting for some.
All clients regardless of insurance plan must live in Texas or Virginia to receive services. Verification of benefits is required before working together as there may be some specific plans within these insurances that don't provide coverage.
My private pay rates are as follows:
Individual intake session (60 min): $150
Individual follow up sessions (45-50 min): $120
Family intake session (75 min): $175
Family follow up sessions (60 min): $150
Out-of-network benefits may be available to you for possible reimbursement of services. I cannot guarantee reimbursement from your insurance. However, upon request, I will provide you with a Superbill to submit to your insurance. Please note that full payment is due on the date of service.
I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you are unable to attend your appointment, please notify me 24 hours in advance. If you cancel an appointment less than 24 hours in advance you will be charged a $50 late cancellation fee. If you do not show to your appointment you will be charged a $100 no show fee.
*Please note that insurance does not cover late cancellation or no show fees.*
I am only offering virtual sessions at this time.
Currently I am only working Tuesdays-Thursdays with varying hours depending on the day. Weekends are not available at this time. I have limited evening slots that typically get filled up pretty quickly. However, we can discuss availability during our consultation call to make sure our schedules align and will be a good fit for both of us.

You will complete 4 hours of clinical supervision each month as required by the board and will have access to me for brief, phone call check-ins in between supervision when you need extra support. Supervision will be completed virtually and we will use a combination of group and individual format. However, if geographical concerns are not an issue and you would like to meet in person periodically during our time together, I am happy to coordinate that with you. As clinical supervision is a commitment and requires the supervisor and supervisee to have a close, professional relationship, I do require an initial interview to make sure we are a good fit.
I enjoy supervising motivated individuals who can accept feedback, ask questions, and have a passion for social work. I would be honored to be your supervisor and guide you through this journey to your clinical license!
